About

Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts offers a diverse performing arts program. Our teachers have extensive backgrounds in the arts and are dedicated to providing students with outstanding educational opportunities through a wide variety of creative experiences. Locally and nationally celebrated writers, artists, actors, musicians and dancers provide additional instruction, with many serving as artists-in-residence, lecturers and master teachers. This prepares our students to successfully participate in local, regional and national performances, as well as exhibitions and arts competitions. Through a highly experienced network of partnerships and volunteers, students enjoy a variety of opportunities to hone their craft and prepare for the future. In addition to offering extensive training in the arts, Paseo also provides a rigorous academic program to prepare students for college and postsecondary advanced studies. Each year, graduating seniors are awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to various colleges and universities, internships and on-the-job shadowing, with many graduates receiving an associate degree in addition to their high school diploma.

Community is an important thread in the overall tapestry of Paseo. Through a highly experienced network of community partnerships and volunteers, students enjoy a variety of opportunities to hone their craft and prepare for the future. Our Community Partners commit their time, talents and efforts to raise academic achievement and help provide guidance and resources for the next step in a student’s professional journey.

We work with community professionals to visit classes and share with our students what they do and how they impact the community. Volunteers share about their job experiences, interesting projects and what it takes to earn their degree and succeed in their industry.
