Paseo Seniors Make Their Voices Heard!
We are proud to celebrate several Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts seniors who cast their ballots for the very first time on Election Day. Thanks to support from LINC (Local Investment Commission), more than 70 first-time voters from Kansas City schools were provided transportation and assistance to get to the polls.
Our students joined fellow young voters in taking an important step in civic engagement, demonstrating that their voices matter and their participation can help shape the future. Seniors Aanaree Ramsey, Shiko Muturi, and Xar’eya Byers shared their excitement and sense of responsibility as first-time voters, encouraging others to stay informed and make their voices heard.
At Paseo, we are committed to preparing students not only for college and careers, but also for active citizenship. We are incredibly proud of these young adults for exercising their right to vote and setting an example for future generations of Pirates. ❤️🖤💛
